Our client purchased a used Nissan Maxima from Midway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in San Diego, CA. The check engine light/service engine light was on when our client purchased the vehicle. As part of the purchase, Midway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram agreed to perform the repairs necessary to fix the check engine light/service engine light issue. Midway, however, refused to perform the repair. Midway had also sold our client a service contract that should have covered the engine repair, but because the engine issue existed before our client purchased the car, the service contract company refused to cover the cost of the repair.
